Senior FinTech Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-performance, low-latency financial systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in a microservices architecture.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across various layers of the application stack.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, advocating for their adoption where appropriate.

• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and operational support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 2 years in the FinTech industry.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Go, or C++.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and API design (RESTful, gRPC).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of financial markets, trading systems, payment processing, or regulatory compliance is a significant plus.
